The latest in-vehicle video systems act as a digital eyewitness to traffic events, traffic infringements and other police related work that might need to be used as evidence or proof at a later stage. In-car and on-bike systems are typically made up of a computer module, high resolution screen with controls, high resolution colour camera, a hard wired vehicle microphone, and a ClearComm unit that records and transmits high quality audio back to the main unit while working outside the vehicle. On-bike screens are compact and weather proof with all the electronics stored safely in the rear of the bike. The in-car monitors come in options of a large dash-mounted LCD touchscreen, or for space saving or covert operations there is a two-in-one rear view mirror with built-in screen and controls.
